Dipl.-Inform. Bastian Blywis

Bastian Blywis joined the research group Computer Systems & Telematics (CST) at the Institute of Computer Science, Freie Universität Berlin in April 2007 after graduating with a Diploma degree in Computer Science. He was employed as a teaching assistent and as a software engineer for the mobile safety/security sensor nets project (mo-sense). His research domains are IEEE 802.11 based wireless multi-hop networks with focus on network protocols, operating systems, system integration, and distributed localization. Bastian Blywis is involved in the DES-Testbed that is part of the  OPNEX, WISEBED, and G-Lab projects. He is the software architect and manager of the DES-SERT routing framework project. From 2008 to 2009 he was responsible for an industry project with Telefunken RACOMS. Since April 2011, he is a full-time research associate in the Distributed, Embedded System research group after beeing an associated researcher for 4 years. He is working towards his PhD and plans to be finished in spring 2012.
