Bastian Blywis joined the working group Computer Systems & Telematics (CST) at the Institute of Computer Science, Freie Universität Berlin in April 2007 after graduating with a Diploma degree in Computer Science. He is employed as a teaching assistent. His research domains are IEEE 802.11 based wireless mesh and wireless sensor networks. Network protocols, operating systems, system integration, and localization are the focus of his research. Bastian Blywis is involved in the DES-Testbed that is part of the OPNEX, WISEBED, and G-Lab projects. He is the software architect and manager of the DES-SERT routing framework project. From 2008 to 2009 he was responsible for an industry project with Telefunken RACOMS.
